In a distant village, a merciless drought reigns. The villagers perform ancient rituals to find a way out of the scourge and misery, but to no avail. During such perilous times, Ahbor, a former official, goes to the village in search of a friend, and encounters an unexpected case: an underage girl who has been raped.
Khusnora Rozmatova is a film director from Uzbekistan. She received international recognition after winning the “For Humanism” award at the 19th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival. The Song Sustxotin is her second feature film.
