Aamar Boss is about a 40-year-old man, Animesh, who runs a publishing house. He is estranged from his wife, who is busy pursuing her career in Mumbai. His mother, Shubhra Goswami, a retired head nurse, has recently undergone a major heart operation and is recuperating at home. Bored, Shubhra decides to accompany her son to his office and work as an intern there, much to her son's dissatisfaction, a decision that will irreversibly change the dynamics of the company and the lives of its employees.
Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy are acclaimed Indian filmmakers renowned for their socially relevant and innovative narratives. Shiboprosad, also a writer and actor, frequently collaborates with Nandita. Together, they have directed several notable films such as Icche, Praktan, Bela Seshe, Muktodhara, Accident, Alik Sukh, Ramdhanu, Haami, Konntho, and Gotro. Nandita, born on April 3, 1955, made her directorial debut with Icche (2011) alongside Shiboprosad. Her experience includes working with many renowned directors.
