An Indian-born director, he began his career as an animator. In 2011, he relocated to Tokyo, where he worked on the animated series Tron: Uprising as well as cinematic projects for the Final Fantasy game franchise. In 2016, he founded an independent production company and began directing. His debut feature, Bad Poetry Tokyo (2017), won the Grand Prix at the Brussels International Film Festival, and his second feature, Kontora (2019), received the Grand Prix at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. His third feature, December (2022), was invited to the Jiseok section of the Busan International Film Festival.
