Synopsis :

Expressing desire, pursuing dreams, loving oneself, questioning the oppressive confines of patriarchy. Farida Baqi takes us on a lyrical and emotional journey through the life of a young woman from birth to adulthood in an unnamed Arab city.


Directors Bio :

Farida Baqi is a director born in Damascus, Syria. She is the executive producer of the short docufiction film Salam (2017), which won Best International Short Film at Fribourg IFIFF as well as of Suleima (2014), a short animation film shortlisted at Annecy Festival, among others. The Visual Feminist Manifesto is her first feature length project.
