Takashi, born August 24, 1960 is a highly prolific and influential Japanese filmmaker. He has directed over one hundred theatrical, video, and television productions since his debut in 1991. In the years 2001 and 2002 alone, Miike is credited with directing fifteen productions. Some of his best-known films are Audition, Ichi the Killer, Visitor Q, Dead or Alive, One Missed Call, and various remakes: 13 Assassins, Hara-kiri, and Graveyard of Honor.
