Journalist Marianne moves to northern France to research her new book on job insecurity. Without revealing her identity, she gets hired as a cleaner on a ferry. There she experiences financial instability and social invisibility, but also discovers solidarity with her women colleagues. ‘Between Two Worlds’ (2021) ranges freely between genres and is concerned with the themes of identity, illusion and reality.
