Kunal Kapoor at IFFI Goa 2016

Kunal Kapoor is a Bollywood actor who shot to fame for his role in the film Rang De Basanti for which he received a nomination in the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award category.

Since then he has produced some noteworthy performances. He played the lead role in the 2012 comedy film Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana which was hailed by critics as being amongst the ten best films of the year.

His other films include Welcome To Sajjanpur, Aaja Nachle, Don 2 and the recently released Dear Zindagi.

He also played the main lead in the 2016 Malayalam film Veeram, directed by Jayaraj, a three time national award winner. Veeram is an Indian epic historical drama which is an adaption of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. This film is the fifth installment in Jayaraj’s Navarasa series. Kunal Kapoor portrays the role of Chandu Chekavar, an infamous warrior in the 13th century North Malabar.

Veeram was also a part of the Indian Panorama section at IFFI Goa 2016.
